For many people feeling depressed, a piece of chocolate offers them comfort and a moment of pleasure. Experts say this is due to the mood-enhancing affects of chocolate. Not surprisingly, new studies indicate that depressed people eat more chocolate than those who aren’t depressed.

In a study done by several universities in California, 900 men and women were questioned about their chocolate consumption. None of the participants were on anti-depressants. The goal of the study was to find out how much chocolate the men and women ate on a regular basis and how often they ate the sugary treat.

A commonly accepted depression scale was used to gauge the mood of the participants. Scientists were able to detect a clear connection between the consumption of chocolate and feelings of depression among the participants.

The found on average, that the people who had depression ate about eight and a half servings of chocolate each month. By contrast, those who said they didn’t have depression ate only five and a half servings a month.

Those participants that were actually clinically depressed ate the most chocolate of all. They were found to consume an average of nearly 12 servings of chocolate monthly. Although, when asked, none of the participants felt that the chocolate positively affected their depression. For the study one serving of chocolate was one ounce or 28 grams.

The study conducted was not designed to determine why people eat more chocolate when they are depressed. Researchers deduced that depression may stimulate a craving for chocolate, making people consume chocolate to treat their condition.

Researchers have found that chocolate has mood-lifting benefits by the release of endorphins. Unfortunately, the process can have a cyclical effect – that by consuming a lot of chocolate, people may feel more depressed and want to eat more chocolate to feel better.

As much as researchers have learned from these studies, it’s clear that a lot more needs to be learned about the link between chocolate and depression.

Most people understand that: “Our self fulfilling prophecies play a huge role in the lives we live.” It’s not really big news for most of us that when we expect the worst, we tend to get the worst. Likewise, when we expect the best, while we may not get it, we’ve definitely got a better shot at it!

It’s an old fashioned well proven truth that our self fulfilling prophecies play a huge role in the life we create. This works in subtle yet certain ways, because everything starts somewhere and our outlook on life is the starting point from which everything else stems. We all know this already, but how do we stay positive and keep thinking positively when things get a little more intense than we’d like them to be?

Don’t worry, there’s a few easy things you can do to keep yourself feeling positive, or if need be get yourself back to positivity when you stray away from it… let’s take a look at two easy tips on how to:

“Stay Positive The Easy Way”

1. If you’re at the bottom of a well, STOP DIGGING! Whether it’s your family, your career, school or money problems, we all run into streaks where every step seems like it’s in the wrong direction. The trick here is to just stop! Let the pieces settle before you try and straighten them out. Because often times, doing nothing is far better than making things worse!

2. Playful Wastes of Time: When we’re relaxing, things feel right. When things feel right, it’s easy to make that feeling spread into other areas of our lives. But just sitting still and doing nothing is actually the hardest thing you’ll ever have to do! So instead, the key here is “Playful Wastes of Time” that’s right, to intentionally and deliberately waste some time doing something fun. Spend a few hours doing something fun enough to engage you mind but easy enough not to leave you feeling tired. Give it a try and you’ll see, sometimes the best use of time is to just have some fun before you do anything else.

You know that your attitude is the seed from which everything else grows, so when times get tough, that’s the most important times of all! Always keep true to yourself with the knowledge that sometimes doing nothing is the perfect thing to do, and sometimes it’s okay to use a little playful distraction to help you Stay Positive through all of life’s little challenges!

Getting proper rest is important for everyone, and those who have a hard time falling asleep can feel the effects more than others. But, the good news is that a series of things can be tried to help someone get to bed easier and feel rested and refreshed.

The first thing you need to do is turn of your computer and television. These are huge distractions, and the body will maintain a certain level of alertness when these devices are on.

Your brain needs peace and quiet to slow down and put the body in a state of true rest. Shutting off the distractions will do wonders for many insomniacs.

For those that seem to lay there for hours staring into space, the best trick for you is to read a book. Not one that is gripping and fast moving, but something like a text book or a novel that is sort of boring. This will make your mind slow down and drift away in a short period of time.

Getting regular exercise will help too. You body will relax deeply and repair itself at night if you work out for about an hour a day, and the sleep is usually more fulfilling.

Concentrate on exercises that really boost your metabolism. Things like jumping jacks, jogging, dancing, or jump rope are all good examples. This will load your body with hormones that make you feel good, but will also send you into a blissful sleep a lot easier.

Getting to fall asleep easier involves exercise that gets your heart rate up for sustained amounts of time. The energy and positive feelings this produces will also lead to a more restful sleep at night.

Your eyes need time to rest too, and having contacts in overnight interferes with that process. Additionally, keeping them out will keep your lenses fresh longer. As a side bonus, you won’t be able to enjoy staring at the ceiling if you can’t see it.

When we eat, our body begins to perk up and become energetic. Because of this, it is always good to eat a lot earlier in the day, and little towards the end. This also helps your body rest at the end of the day. So, knowing this, think twice about eating food late at night. The last thing that you want is to jump start your energy levels when you are trying to sleep.

Besides health advice, the writer additionally regularly contributes articles about the <noindex>automated forex trading</noindex> and the <noindex>lean hybrid muscles</noindex>.

It can be very frustrating for you to keep indicating to your ex boyfriend that you still care for him but he does not seem to share the same feelings. It is high time you got new tips to get your ex to show interest in you once again.

First of all a woman should stop showing that all her world revolves around the man she loves. The issue of getting him back should not preoccupy you night and day, because this is the major mistake most women make.

Instead just spend the time and effort in making a better life for you. Get out and do some shopping, buy new clothes, and get a new look.

A lady should begin to value herself more, spoil herself and forget living for someone else; in the name of ex. It will help to see things differently and have a new mindset.

Your new confidence and independence will draw new friends to you and with them your ex too. He will notice that you can go on with life but now he will be admiring the way you live instead. He will want to be part of it.

As you continue to carve out a new way of life and using your time to do useful things in the society, people will be drawn to you because they become your admirers. Your ex will get to hear of these great things. Keep him guessing and just be busy with social or community activities where you will be widening your circle of friends. This way you will not have time to miss him.

Try not to be available for meetings with him, following him around, or even checking on his activities. Instead he will be the one who will start looking for you desperately, but try to pretend that you are a very busy lady. Bingo!

Wonder of all wonders is that he will eventually find his way back without you lifting another finger; but this time it will be on different terms.

To be chased in dreams is generally the result of old memories, past experiences, fears and situations that are out of our control or one of the many tasks we are faced with in our everyday life.

One can compare being chased in a dream to the feelings we experience from being pressured and followed around by a nagging voice forever reminding us of what has to be taken care of in our daily routines. Being chased results from the overwhelming responsibility of maintaining a marriage, relationships, career, workplace, work flow, family, and our financial responsibilities.

Needless to say, our everyday stress, guilt, unexpected changes and old memories haunt us compounding the list with health problems, fear, anxiety and depressionwhere one now finds himself quickly generating a driving force that often results in dreams of being chased.

Examples Of The Major Caused Of Dreams Of Being Chased Although the list is extensive, the major causes for having chase dreams seems to be a result of bad memories, unpleasant experiences, troubled marriages, difficult relationships, hostile working environments, unreasonable employers, financial problems, health concerns, fears, anxiety and depression.

Although these are among the major causes of chase dreams, being chased by a group, mob, known, a seen or unseen enemy, outsider, beast or acts of nature rank very high in chase dreams.

Yet, though we understand the reasons that cause dreams of being chased, it unusual for a dream of being chase reveal to the dreamer the actual cause of their chase dream within the dream itself. The reason is simple, for the part we dream about events, occurrences, symbols, signs, actions, reactions and illusions. And because we do not dream as a normal story would follow, the real reason for the dream is hidden.

In order to better understand your chase dreams, it is important to understand the meaning of the emotions the dreamer felt during and after the dream ends and the emotions the dreamer felt when he woke up. By understanding your emotions, the dreamer will better be able to dissect and unravel the real meaning of the dreamer’s dream.

This may partially be accomplished by learning how to recognize the clues: personality traits, action(s) in the dream by the dreamer and against the dreamer. In regards to emotional colors: what is spoken, read, what is depicted in body language and facial expressions all add to enhancing a more meaningful interpretation of your dream and what the dream message has for your life.

Additional Causes Of Dreams Of Being Chased-All dream experiences have meaning. Example: Being chased by a person or even an unseen beast, sound or entity represents an attack against you personally because of envy, jealousy or a selfish hidden agenda. In the same way, being chased by a person or unseen entity also represents that you are in some way being used by another through lies, illusion and deception for a selfish, personal or financial gain. The deception could be played out in the dream, masked with bits of truth mixed with lies toward excluding you from a group project, thereby taking you out of the loop sources of information.

Dreams of being chased by a wind represents a demonic attack out of control which is a dark hidden scheme emanating from the dark spirit realm of demons, the enemy of good people in the world perpetrated by another or others who show no self restraint in acting on the darker sides of their human nature. This kind of spirit world attack typically leaves the dreamer filled with fear, anxiety, hopelessness, deep depression and worries of falling into ruin they can do nothing to prevent.

The focus of this kind of demonic attack by others is to put the dreamer through a physical, emotional and psychological roller coaster in their lifestyles, personal identity, self esteem leaving them with financial stress, denial, pain, money problems, emotional trauma, separation, deep depression, panic, grief, sorrow and great disappointments.

When life gets tough and rough, people always find a way to get through it. They can solve the problem, run away from it, find a diversion, or even go to psychics. Psychics have long represented a source that could turn misery into hope.

In these times where life has become more hectic and filled with stress, the demand for psychics has soared. Many people have confidence in their ability to foretell the future and give sound advice.

Scheduling a one-on-one session with a psychic can be tough for people with tight schedules. But now, new technology has driven the psychic market to offer a better way of servicing clients through online psychic readings.

By bringing their advice online, psychics are now able to reach out to more people who suffer from chronic stress caused by problems at work and their interpersonal relationships. Advice is available 24 x 7 to the relief of psychic fans just as long as there is access to the Internet.

Some people may find it bizarre that others are willing to confide their personal lives to someone they don’t even know. Even more, to be opening up themselves to a stranger who they can’t even see.

To get through these skeptics, online psychic websites are offering free psychic advice with no hidden fees. Getting people to see for themselves the effectiveness of psychic readings is one way to gain trust as well as market their services.

Despite the fact that people don’t get to face a real psychic, requests for online psychic services are growing. Just as problems in life are unpredictable, people cannot predict when and where they might need psychic advice. They may be at work, at home, on a plane traveling, or even stuck at the airport when they feel the need to consult a psychic.

Offering free online psychic readings is both beneficial to both the psychic and their customers. Customers are aware that although the service is free, the advice is not generic. Each reading and piece of advice is personalized and varies between people.

The writer additionally frequently gives advice regarding things such as <noindex>recessed can lights</noindex> and the <noindex>recessed lighting trim</noindex>.

Untidiness certainly can result in stress and anxiety. It is very irritating to never be able to find things when you require them, especially if you are in a rush. Losing your car keys or your glasses or your purse in your cluttered home is a sign of a lack of organization, but it is a pain in the neck too because it wastes so much time and usually precisely when you do not have time to waste.

The issue is basically one of organization. Because it is human nature to keep everything, our homes and offices soon become cluttered, so unless you have regular clear-outs or organize your junk well, you are going to lose things often.

Everything should have a place and everything should be in its place, that way you will know where to look for items. Tools should be stored in the garage, if possible on holders or nails on the wall. Gardening equipment should be in the garden shed, likewise put away so that you can see what is out and where everything is. Kitchen gear should be in the kitchen, office paperwork should be filed away in cabinets or and folders.

You have to take the time to put things away when you have used them and not leave them lying around until you have ‘a clean up later’. A clean up later is no good, you need to do it now. A stitch in time saves nine, as the old saying goes.

Papers should be stored as they would in a well-organized office. You may not have enough papers to merit having a filing cabinet, but you can get a filing box that looks like a small, plastic suitcase, but they open from the top.

One side is hinged, so that it can open out and the case contains a dozen or so compartments which can be labeled for ‘Insurance’, ‘Bank Statements’, ‘Credit Card Statements’, ‘Bills’ et cetera. They are very helpful and not dear. This must also have a place, say in the wardrobe.

If you think that even this is going too far, then three shoe boxes can be used: one for ‘permanent’ items such as wedding certificate, birth certificate, passport, insurance etc., one for the storage of items you have already dealt with like credit card and bank statements and utility bills and one for mail to be answered and bills to be paid.

Every year you can then go through the shoe boxes and bundle up items from the previous year or discard items that have become obsolete. Maybe a good time would be after filing your tax returns. In many countries, you have to hold on to tax records for seven years, so a fourth shoe box could hold the previous seven years worth of documents.

Clean out your attic or basement to make room for more junk. A good rule is, if you have not used something for five years, you do not require it, so sell it, give away or bin it.

Buy or make a key rack or just screw hooks into the back of your front door, that way you can hang your keys up when you come in and take them with you when you go out. Get a cord for your glasses and hang them around your neck. When you really do not require them, you can hang them up somewhere visible by the cord too.

Although we are all aware of the fact that most people are under more stress than ever before, do people also realize how extremely bad for you too much stress can be?

At the thin edge of the wedge, stress can give you butterflies in your stomach or even diarrhea; it can produce headaches and even depression and it can lead to heart disease. Stress can seriously affect your mind and your body. Having said that, some stress is or can be a good thing.

Some people say that they work better under stress, actors and some executives, for example, but the real key is to be able to keep your stress levels within a sector that you are comfortable with.

The first step to dealing with stress is to find out what is causing you the most stress. The two main causes are financial and emotional: either you cannot pay your bills or you are having problems with your partner. Next comes your job, your kids and your house or an illness in the family.

What can you do to alleviate this stress? Well, to be truthful, it is horses for courses. We are not all the same and we do not all enjoy doing the same things, but I can name a couple of the most popular ways of reducing stress without having to go to a psychiatrist.

Reading a magazine in a comfortable and soothing location is quite de-stressing to many people. Sitting up in warm bed or sitting out in a scented garden reading a good book is very popular. So is writing. Some people find that it helps to write their sentiments down. This need not be in the form of a novel, but you could keep a diary, a journal or even a blog (an online, interactive journal).

These writings can be as basic or as complicated as you like: from random jottings about how you feel to full explanations. Only do not allow writing become a chore, which will only add to your stress.

You could also take a hot bath or go for a cool swim. You could have a sauna, a Jacuzzi or a massage or a facial or manicure or have your hair done. Pampering yourself is a good way of rewarding yourself, which will give you a sense of achievement, which will also ease stress. It makes all that stress seem worth it.

Often stress comes out of disorder, so try to put some order back into your life. The best place to start is to try to sort out your time, your life, around the things that you HAVE to do. You have to eat, rest, pay your bills and work (whether that is in the home or at a career).

Once you have plotted enough time to accomplish those duties, you can ‘fill in the gaps’ with other activities that you would like to do. This is the space for friends, hobbies, sports or even a second job, so that you can manage a truly special holiday, but keep the second job a fun job.

Keeping away from negative people will diminish your stress.. Some people are always moaning and those people are no good to you. Associate with people who are positive about life; people who appreciate that not everything will always go their own way and understand that they have to do something about it, not just complain over another beer between puffs on a cigarette.
