<p>Unfortunately, most people do not know how to stick with it mentally.</p>
<p>Thus, here are 6 ways to keep yourself on the dieting bandwagon:</p>
<p>1. Don&#8217;t follow a vague goal: Instead, have a very specific goal that leads to very specific action. This will greatly improve your chances for success here. After all, vague and undefined goals lead to vague and undefined action.</p>
<p>2. Use a carrot, not a whip: If you self flagellate yourself into action, expect to burn out sooner rather than later. A whip may work in the short run, but over time it will break you. So always use a big fat carrot to motivate yourself. Always move towards a positive outcome.</p>
<p>3. Expect failure and embrace it: The faster you learn to embrace the failure the faster you will get results. You see, failure is a given in the weight loss game. The key here is to never stop moving forward no matter how many times you fail.</p>
<p>4. Make your environment extremely motivating: Don&#8217;t rely on internal drive and self control here. Manipulate your environment as much as possible for the best results here. If you do this, you are much more likely to succeed.</p>
<p>5. Pay attention to routines, not results: Although counterintuitive, if you obsess over results you are less likely to succeed. You see, obsessing over results is an emotional roller coaster ride. Focusing on routines, on the other hand, is much more fruitful.</p>
<p>6. Set time limits as often as possible: Having time limits is a great way to get more done. You see, time limits force you to focus on the critical steps for success. Otherwise, your main goal might remain a dream. Use deadlines here to increase your chances of reaching your goal.</p>
<p>Learning how to master long term motivation is more important than learning the minutiae of exercise and diet. You see, without motivation nothing will ever get done!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>They say that running is one of the best things you can do for your body, and I&#8217;ll fully attest to that statement. I find so many benefits that come with running, ranging from physical ones to mental ones.</p>
<p>Here are a few tips that I&#8217;d like to share from my experience, all of which I believe will truly make the process of running far a lot easier and more enjoyable for you. Try these out and see if they work for you.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t say enough about the impact that food and drink will have on your ability to run. It&#8217;s critical to have the right balance of food and water in your system before you set off on your run.</p>
<p>Not eating prior to a run is dangerous. Not only can you grow lightheaded, but there are other health risks that come with the territory. The same goes for water intake, as the last thing you want to be is dehydrated while you&#8217;re running. On the same note, don&#8217;t overdo either one of these two things.</p>
<p>I always like to have my headphones on while I run. A nice soundtrack can give me an instant burst of energy.</p>
<p>Anything to take your mind away from the fact that you&#8217;re performing an otherwise redundant task will help you out. If it&#8217;s music that you enjoy, your mind will be focused partially on the music as opposed to wholly on the running.</p>
<p>As far as time of day is concerned, everyone will have a different preference here. Still, you should do what feels best.</p>
<p>Some people are morning people and need to get the task out of the way when the day begins. There are just as many night owls who love nothing more than a run at the end of the day.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you struggle with emotional eating, you aren&#8217;t alone. Far too many of us make our bad eating choices because of emotions, instead of eating based on our health needs.</p>
<p>We often make very poor food choices because of feelings. In this article, I will give you some tips for how to avoid damaging eating patterns stemming from emotional eating.</p>
<p>First, be aware of changes that are going on in your life. Are you in poor health? Have you recently lost your job? Are you having relationship difficulties? Any of these circumstances can trigger a bout of emotional eating.</p>
<p>Next, figure out where the hunger is coming from. Real hunger comes from your body; you feel physically hungry, not just like you want to eat. Many people are not able to recognize the difference. It is crucial that you know when your body needs fuel, and that you don&#8217;t confuse this with when your mind is encouraging you to eat.</p>
<p>Whenever you are about to reach for food, ask yourself where the hunger is coming from. Is it your body, are you really hungry, or is the desire to eat coming from something else?</p>
<p>Eat healthy foods. Stay away from your comfort foods that tend to be triggers. Healthy foods will be foods you are less likely to binge on and also do less damage if you do eat them emotionally.</p>
<p>In the event that you are hungry, ask yourself when you last ate. If you have eaten recently, try to take your mind off of food. Exercise often works for this, and is healthy besides. It can distract you even while it burns calories.</p>
<p>Sometimes people struggle for a while with emotional eating, and still are unable to beat it on their own. If you find yourself in this position, consider getting professional help. A therapist can help you to understand what emotional issues are encouraging you to eat. Emotional eating is a compulsion that can have wide-ranging health impact, and it is important to get it under control.</p>
<p>Like any other drug, food can be used to improve health or can be misused and damage health. You need to be aware of this potential, and make wise nutritional choices.</p>

Yes, the new year&#8217;s resolution is as popular as it&#8217;s ever been in 2010, and many vows have been made to drop old habits of the past and bring in new and improved ones.</p>
<p>There are some smaller changes that people make that may take little effort. Others are a bit more drastic. Let&#8217;s take a look at some of the bigger ones that also happen to be harder to keep.</p>
<p>One of the most common resolutions that you&#8217;ll see people making is their pledge to quit smoking once the new year rings in. Everyone wants to drop the nicotine habit come January 1st, though it always seems to be much easier said than done.</p>
<p>Many people unfortunately cave into temptations after a week or two, sneaking in one cigarette that ultimately turns into more.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll also see many people pledging to get into the best physical shape possible. This may involve cutting back on bad foods, but it more commonly involves exercising at the gym.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s never uncommon for me to see the gym more crowded with some new faces during the first few weeks of the year. I would imagine this comes from that very change people are looking to make in their lives.</p>
<p>Lastly, there&#8217;s the commitment that some people make to work less and enjoy themselves more. Wouldn&#8217;t we all love to do this?</p>
<p>In a perfect world, we&#8217;d all be able to spend less time working. Unfortunately, reality soon settles in. Whether it has to do with bills we couldn&#8217;t otherwise pay or the fact that our employers require us to put in extra time, we often find ourselves unable to follow through with this commitment.</p>
<p>While all of these things should be doable at some point, a lot of it all depends on timing. It&#8217;s hard to force our will upon ourselves simply because of the time of year. We can accomplish these things at any point in time, and we should never be afraid to make them happen.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If asked to describe depression, a person suffering from it may describe it in a few simple words: &#8220;Sadness, hopelessness, loneliness&#8221;. This is one of the few diseases that affect not only your physical, but also your mental health.</p>
<p>Depression used to be found only in adults, but it is becoming more common in teens and even children. This is becoming more and more common as scholastic become more and more important.</p>
<p>Depression causes feelings of sadness and the inability to function normally. Most people will have greater difficulty studying and working, because their concentration is broken.</p>
<p>There are many different groups of people who are depressed, mainly because of the fast paced life that we live today.</p>
<p>There is not just one reason why every one gets depressed. There are many different reasons; lack of love, job insecurities, relationship break-ups, marital problems, physical illness, all these and more can contribute to feelings of depression.</p>
<p>Depression will also affect how a person thinks. They may tend to get angry without cause and cry very easily.</p>
<p>It is not unusual for a depressed person to lose interest in everything going on around him, even if this person usually enjoys whatever is happening. They may develop negative thinking as well. Feelings of frustration will frustrate him and every one around him.</p>

There are many different drugs and therapies that will help, but must be administered by a qualified professional. It may also help to talk to someone who cares about how you are feeling.</p>
